A range of channels and methods are used to communicate change – where it has impacted the wider organisation it usually involves town hall meetings, or change announced at annual events, with smaller sessions in person or over MS Teams to follow. Info is usually shared on the intranet or social channels like Yammer and or a monitored chat channel on MS Teams.
A combinations of channels and people involved in the message delivery seems to work best depending on scale of change and groups impacted. For external customers and suppliers written comms tends to go out first, before any opportunity for any in person or digital f-f communication. This seems to work better and usually has answers to anticipated FAQs to manage any anxiety.
